**The Opportunity**:
The **Bus Driver** will be serving the community of P**oints West Living Moose Jaw Saskatchewan.** The **Bus Driver** is responsible for ensuring top resident care is priority, with an elevated level of focus in time management.

Casual - (Mon - Fri Days)

- Ensuring that services are provided in accordance with best practices, our Well-Being Strategies, quality improvement guidelines, and regulations/standards. It is important to conduct random ongoing audits to always ensure compliance.
- Strives to attain excellence in Care Partner satisfaction of the transportation services through ongoing solicitation, surveys, and measurement of feedback. Implementation of Care Partner suggestions, interactive problem solving, and an annual evaluation.
- Makes improvements in the overall coordination of the Community’s transportation services.
- Being a team builder, coach, mentor, active listener, facilitator, teacher, and an important resource to our community
- Strives to attain excellence in Resident, family member and Employee Care Partner satisfaction
- Demonstrates strength in building partnerships with Residents, family members, employee care partners, volunteers, external care partners and the community at large to ensure the vibrancy of our community
- Maintain appropriate levels of certification. (As required)
- Operate the bus and van in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life and in accordance with all relevant legislation and our Well-Being Strategies.
- Perform safety and transportation checks as required.
- Perform minor transportation duties as required.
- Clean/ sanitize the vehicles before and after use.
- Ensure the vehicles are safely and securely parked.
- Advise the Manager/Supervisor of any requirements for transportation or repairs.
- Maintain schedules and pick up and deliver Care Partners as per a set schedule.
- Maintain order on the vehicles.
- Take attendance as required.
- Ensure Care Partners are aware of rules and responsibilities as passengers.
- Partner with other service areas to establish transportation requirements. Maintain confidentiality of the Community including but not limited to accountability of all care partners. Breach of confidentiality is serious and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

**Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from**:

- Grade 12 Diploma or recognized equivalent is required.
- You must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in an understandable manner.
- Maintain a current, valid CPR and First Aid certificate.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license as required by law. (i.e., Class 4 for 16 people or over passenger vehicles; or Class 5 for 15 or less passenger vehicles).
- Minimum 4 years driving experience
- Clear Driving Record
- Able to prioritize, re-adjust routines, and deal with repetitive activities.
- Ability to effectively deal with difficult and/or crisis situations
