About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing direct pharmaceutical care to patients and contributing to the interdisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient counseling and medication monitoring services
  • Participate in drug utilization reviews and liaison with community pharmacists
  • Contribute to clinical pharmacy research and education initiatives
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized School of Pharmacy
  • Eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Completion of a hospital pharmacy residency program or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of medication patient safety therapeutics and concepts
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work responsibilities and work well under time pressures
