Job Overview

We are seeking a proficient Mechanical Technician to contribute to our manufacturing operations. The Mechanical Technician will be tasked with the safe and effective assembly and fabrication of our industrial water systems, adhering to quality standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards in accordance with Clean Room Protocol.
  • Accurately position, install, and secure all components into various equipment as per the provided schematics.
  • Operate diverse machinery integral to the manufacturing process, including welding machines, torches, pipe/conduit/tube benders, grinders, and drills.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and conduct hydro-testing on PVC, PP, and PVDF pipe spools.
  • Perform self-inspections to confirm that all components are installed correctly, tested, and comply with the relevant drawings, while signing off on QA documentation.
  • Conduct paint touch-ups as necessary to ensure product quality.
  • Package all equipment in accordance with shipping requirements.
  • Flexibility to work either the first or second shift.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Proficient in assembling equipment based on assembly process drawings.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of basic pipe and skid layout and assembly.
  • Exhibit high-quality workmanship, initiative, and the ability to work independently when required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and assist in training peers and contractors.
  • Experience in PVC pipe welding is advantageous; structural welding experience is also beneficial.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the manufacturing of large water treatment equipment.
  • Must be capable of standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequently walking, bending, and climbing stairs.
  • Availability to work the first shift and overtime as needed.
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency and initiative.
