Position Overview: Superintendent for Major Construction Projects
A prominent construction firm is in search of a seasoned Superintendent to oversee a significant industrial undertaking. The ideal applicant will possess extensive local expertise in civil, infrastructure, and building projects. This role requires on-site presence in a northern region on a rotational schedule of 14 days on and 7 days off. The compensation package ranges from $160,000 to $220,000.
Key Responsibilities:
The Superintendent will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of civil infrastructure projects.
Core Duties:
- Manage all personnel, materials, and equipment, ensuring effective coordination of field construction teams. Act as a liaison between various departments to guarantee adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Collaborate with field engineers to monitor the performance and productivity of subcontractors, while supervising trade superintendents on larger initiatives.
- Prioritize safety in all activities and ensure proper training and development for all team members.
Accountability:
- Responsible for achieving project objectives efficiently and within the designated timeframe, while providing timely and precise reports to project management and adhering to safety protocols.
- As a vital member of the project team, the Superintendent's decisions will significantly influence overall project outcomes.
- Lead the construction efforts through team leaders and trade supervisors, offering specialized guidance to internal colleagues regarding construction methodologies.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with 1 to 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity within an industrial environment.
- Compensation: $160,000 to $200,000 based on applicable experience.
