Job SummaryThe Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and the Department of Pediatrics at The University of British Columbia (UBC) invites applications for a full-time, term faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (Without Review) in Reproductive Infectious Diseases. This is a full-time, term position for a period of one year, with the possibility of renewal to a maximum of three years.
Key Responsibilities- Develop an internationally recognized and externally funded research program in Reproductive Infectious Diseases.
- Lead interdisciplinary research through collaboration with other departments in the UBC.
- Participate in the teaching activities of the Department, as well as provide mentorship and training to undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate learners.
- Hold a MD, Ph.D. or equivalent credentials with postdoctoral experience.
- Have demonstrated ability in scholarly activity, preferably with a record of scientific research publications in scholarly journals.
- Provide service to the University and the broader academic and professional community.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated evidence of ability in teaching, proven experience in conceiving, establishing, and executing research projects, preferably in reproductive health or related fields. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to respect diverse perspectives, including perspectives in conflict with one's own, and a commitment to enhancing one's own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
