Job Title

Assistant Professor of Teaching

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced educator to join our team as an Assistant Professor of Teaching in the School of Biomedical Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of Biomedical Engineering subject areas at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and will contribute to the development of innovative curriculum and pedagogy in a vibrant and growing collaborative teaching and learning community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of Biomedical Engineering subject areas at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Contribute to the development of innovative curriculum and pedagogy
  • Collaborate with other programs and departments to bring forward strategic initiatives for the School and the Faculties
  • Participate in relevant service activities within the University and provide service to the broader academic and professional community
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related area, experience teaching biomedical engineering or bioengineering at a post-secondary level, and a Canadian professional engineering (P.Eng.) licence or eligibility to obtain a PEng. They will also have demonstrated evidence of ability and commitment to teaching, and promise of educational leadership.
