About the Role

MAGCOR INC. is seeking a skilled Demolition Worker to join our team. As a Demolition Worker, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently demolishing buildings and structures, while ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demolition and Site Preparation
    • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from demolition sites.
    • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
    • Level earth to fine grade specifications.
    • Pave and rake asphalt.
  • Demolition and Debris Removal
    • Assist in demolishing buildings and structures.
    • Clean and pile salvaged materials.
    • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Equipment and Machinery Operation
    • Operate concrete vibrators, jackhammers, drills, and small front-end loaders.
    • Use a sledgehammer for demolition tasks.
  • Construction Specialization
    • Work on industrial, commercial, and institutional construction projects.
    • Work on residential construction projects.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Perform physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads.
    • Work at heights and in confined spaces.
    • Work in a dusty environment.
  • Requirements
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
    • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
    • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Ability to work in a dusty environment.
