This pivotal role is intended for a seasoned Scheduler.
The Facilities Maintenance Scheduler is tasked with ensuring the timely execution of maintenance tasks while minimizing costs through optimized resource allocation by scheduling both preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Responsibilities include data entry, which involves manually inputting Defect Correction data into various databases, spreadsheets, or word processing applications.Utilization of software programs (SAP) for uploading digital data files is essential. Collaboration with the Document Control Department and finance may also be required.
Data entry responsibilities encompass maintaining databases, liaising with stakeholders, reviewing warranty claims, and working with the Defect Correction Team to ascertain which faults are covered under warranty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Import and sustain a logical network of activities for Routine Maintenance.
- Maintain and enhance a resource-leveled schedule based on input from the Execution team.
- Ensure accountability for daily schedule updates and adherence to agreed completion timelines.
- Validate job plan specifics and provide necessary feedback to planning teams.
- Maintain a comprehensive overview of the volume of prepared corrective/preventive backlog work orders and their respective priorities.
- Combine activities for efficient execution.
- Generate daily, weekly preliminary, and final schedules, along with weekly baselines for tracking purposes.
- Communicate with stakeholders and disseminate schedules.
- Produce 6-week lookahead Histograms and support Routine execution with resource forecasting.
- Generate weekly Earned Value (EV) reports, including result analysis.
- Provide earned value data to the cost organization for CPI calculations.
- Maintain project coding in Primavera.
- Responsible for cataloging all Defect Corrections during the pre-startup phase and for one year thereafter.
Collaborate with the Defect Correction Team to ensure all defects are documented, notifications entered in SAP, and that work orders and notifications are complete with historical data captured.
Review, process, and maintain accurate records of warranty claims and their respective dates.Qualifications:
- Journeyperson, Technical diploma, or relevant work experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of maintenance scheduling experience in heavy industry (Pulp & Paper, Mining, Refinery, or Petrochemical plants, etc.). A solid understanding of production and maintenance operations in a similar or related field is essential.
- Extensive experience with Computerized Materials Management Systems (SAP Blueprint) and other work platforms such as Primavera, Microsoft Office Excel, and Word.
- Strong attention to detail.- At least three years of experience in data mining as a data analyst.
- Proven analytical skills, evaluation, and visualization capabilities.
- Proficient Excel skills, with a willingness to learn other analytical tools.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and fulfill multiple commitments in a timely manner.
- Capable of effectively coordinating groups and action plans to drive resolution.
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in English is required.
Dimensions:
Support for the organization across Maintenance, Turnaround, Operations, Engineering, Technology, and HSSE within their respective disciplines.
Reports to the Maintenance Support Supervisor.
Work Schedule:
Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, with a schedule of 5 days on and 2 days off, including potential overtime as required during Commissioning and Start-up phases.
Compensation:
- The pay range for this position is $70 to $75 per hour; however, the compensation offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
