Enterprise Middleware Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Middleware Engineer to join our team at TSR Consulting Services, Inc. as a JBoss Operations Delivery Engineer. This is a long-term contract position that requires a strong background in JBoss and enterprise application servers.
Key Responsibilities- Middleware Management: Establish and maintain Middleware (JBoss or Websphere) components, ensuring their availability, performance, scalability, and security.
- System Administration: Maintain and manage ASP/SaaS-based production systems, including system configuration management, OS installations, security updates, and urgent system patching.
- Documentation and Collaboration: Write documentation as necessary and work closely with Operations & Infrastructure team members, Project Managers, Software Development, and Business Analysts to ensure successful delivery for all projects.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure critical system security through the use of best-in-class security solutions and maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Scripting and Automation: Write and implement scripts to automate tasks for continuous process improvements and ensure the smooth operation of systems in a virtualized environment.
- On-Call Support: Participate in afterhours, weekend work, and on-call rotation for 24/7 support as required.
- Technical Expertise: Deep hands-on experience of J2EE Application servers like WebSphere, JBoss, or Class loader policies.
- Virtualization and Storage: Experience with VMWare Virtual Machines, including in-depth experience in support, and storage administration.
- Networking and Security: Strong understanding of load balancer, firewalls, switches, routers, VPN, TCP/IP, SSL, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, PXE.
- Teamwork and Communication: Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to understand the impact of decisions on other disciplines.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree, college diploma, or exceptional equivalent work experience, with 3+ years of experience in System Administration for Red Hat/CentOS/RPM-based Linux and 2+ years of experience in managing Web Application servers.
- Oracle Databases: Experience with Oracle databases.
- Certificate Implementation: Certificate implementation and management (SSL certificate).
- Enterprise Schedulers: Knowledge of Enterprise Schedulers such as Active Batch.
- Windows System Administration: Experience in Windows System Administration.
- Data Center Move: Prior experience with a Data center move.
