Position Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing detailed automated testing strategies for our software solutions. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing automated testing coverage and ensuring that features remain consistent through various releases and code modifications. You will also work towards improving the reliability and availability of automated test suites, ensuring thorough validation of new software code.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, and integrate automated testing frameworks across all proprietary software, ensuring extensive coverage and validation of functionalities.
  • Detect, document, and manage software defects, ensuring prompt resolution of identified issues.
  • Engage in code review processes to provide valuable feedback on testing capabilities and uphold code quality standards.
  • Update and maintain automated testing scripts utilizing tools such as PyTest or NUnit to boost testing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed automated tests within the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) framework.
  • Deliver regular updates regarding testing progress, challenges, and risks to the QA Team Lead and relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance and automated testing.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency with automated testing tools and frameworks, including PyTest and NUnit.
  • Strong programming capabilities in languages such as C#, Python, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and methodologies, such as TeamCity and Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Competence in reviewing code and providing insights on the testing capabilities of new code segments.
  • Relevant certifications in software testing, such as ISTQB or CSTE, are considered advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset.
