Position Summary

Herc Rentals is seeking motivated and skilled Territory Sales Representatives. The ideal candidate will possess a background in the construction sector, demonstrating a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities while fostering and maintaining robust business relationships within their assigned territory. The primary objective of the Sales Representative is to enhance revenue generation for both the branch and the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily territory operations and drive revenue growth through site visits to customer job locations.
  • Create and maintain a list of potential clients, engaging with them consistently via phone and online communication.
  • Formulate, plan, and execute sales strategies to meet established goals.
  • Achieve and surpass sales quotas by effectively renting and selling equipment.
  • Assess customer needs and respond appropriately while being aware of market trends and competitor pricing.
  • Engage with customers at a strategic level to broaden the customer base, including industrial and nontraditional accounts.
  • Collaborate and support fellow team members.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
Essential Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in outside sales within the construction industry.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven and motivated.
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on marketing, sales, or business administration.
Employment Conditions
  • A proven sales track record with 3 to 5 years of experience in outside sales within the heavy equipment or construction sectors is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • A strong aptitude for business development and the ability to identify strategic opportunities even in challenging situations.
Compensation Package
  • Competitive base salary ($40K) plus uncapped commissions, providing unlimited earning potential based on sales performance.
  • Company vehicle, gas card, expense card, laptop, and cellphone will be provided.
