Position Overview

The Clinical Research Institute of Montreal is looking for a qualified candidate to assume the role of Research Associate within the Neural Circuit Development team led by Dr. Artur Kania.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate scientific hypotheses and design experiments to validate them
  • Collaborate on grant applications for various research initiatives
  • Draft scientific papers to communicate research findings
  • Initiate and develop new research projects in partnership with the Research Unit Director

Essential Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in neuroscience or a closely related discipline
  • Proven track record of scientific excellence demonstrated through high-quality publications
  • Extensive experience in developmental biology, molecular neurobiology, neurosciences, genetics, and neurophysiology
  • Advanced technical skills in methods such as immunohistochemistry, RNAscope technology, neuronal tracing, stereotaxic surgery, mouse behavior analysis, and neuroanatomy
  • Must possess Canadian citizenship or permanent residency

Employment Details

  • Full-time temporary role for a duration of 2 years
  • Participation in the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan (RREGOP)
