About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient daily operation of our department.

Under the supervision of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and Health Services Manager, you will provide service to maintain a clean and organized environment, adhere to appropriate infection control policies and procedures, and perform various duties such as exposing and developing radiographs, taking alginate impressions, and performing intra/extra oral photography.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in dental assisting, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. If you have a graduate degree in dental assisting, are registered as a dental assistant in the Province of Nova Scotia, and have a minimum of one year of registered dental assistant experience, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide service to maintain a clean and organized environment

Requirements
  • Graduate degree in dental assisting
  • Registered as a dental assistant in the Province of Nova Scotia
  • Minimum of one year of registered dental assistant experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $27.89 and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. This is a casual relief position, and we are looking for a candidate who is available to work on an as-needed basis.
