Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at HIGHWAY KING TRANSPORT LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across various locations. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1 driver's license, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 driver's license
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
