Home Support Worker – Community Services Full-Time, Term

As a Home Support Worker, you will contribute to the health and well-being of adults and older adults by providing services to clients in their homes that will help support them to live independently at home and in their community longer.

Your previous experience has prepared you to help clients connect to programs and services that will decrease social isolation and contribute to their health and wellbeing.

This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, flexible, responsive, and caring.

  • Providing information and referral services to older adults and their families.
  • Providing support, companionship, and home visitation to 10-30 older adults on a monthly basis.
  • Identifying, monitoring, and reporting client needs to the Seniors Support Coordinator.
  • Providing light housekeeping services; clean dishes, laundry, wipe counters, vacuuming, meal preparation, garbage and recycling removal.

Requirements include a high school education and/or post-secondary diploma/certificate in human services, with experience working as a cleaner and with older adults.

You will be required to provide confirmation of current First Aid certification and an RCMP criminal background check with vulnerable sector clearance upon hire.

Working safely is a condition of employment at the Town of Banff.

We are seeking someone who is empathetic, organized, and familiar with community programs and services for adults.
