We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at CAE Inc. as a Financial Reporting and Analysis Professional.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Participating in the development of the company's financial vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with accounting processes.
- Contributing to the annual budget process, including the preparation of reports for senior management.
- Completing monthly financial forecasting for all financial statements.
- Supporting the integration of finance functions across our growing business units, including the establishment of financial infrastructure.
- Participating in the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries.
- Providing accounting analysis support to business units on various accounting matters.
- Preparing monthly Profit and Loss, balance sheet, and cash flow variance analysis.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including Tax, Treasury, and Internal Audit, to respond to ad-hoc inquiries.
- Consulting on new or changing business transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Ensuring adherence to standard processes and policies, and accurate transaction recording.
- Participating in special projects in collaboration with other teams.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A professional accounting designation (CPA).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A self-starter with a high level of initiative and autonomy.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Comfortable dealing with accounting and financial transactions and issues.
- Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of HFM and/or Oracle systems is an asset.
- Experience with M&A integrations and building financial planning and reporting infrastructure is an asset.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Bilingual (French and English) with English as the primary language.
