Key Responsibilities

  • **Interact with Children:** Provide high-quality care and creative programming to children in our school age program.
  • **Communicate with Families:** Establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with families, providing excellent service and building meaningful relationships.
  • **Implement Curriculum:** Implement the YMCA A Place to Connect curriculum with the support of your leader.
  • **Plan Activities:** Plan and implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate program of activities that promote learning and fun.
  • **Ensure Safety:** Ensure all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained according to licensing and YMCA requirements.

Qualifications

  • **Age Requirement:** Must be 19 years of age and able to provide three satisfactory references.
  • **Training and Certification:** Responsible Adult certification, equivalent child-related training, or a willingness to obtain training.
  • **Criminal Record Check:** Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check with clear Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • **First Aid and CPR:** Current Child Care First Aid, CPR, and AED certification or willingness to obtain.
  • **Driver's License:** Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation within Dawson Creek.
