Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Driver to join our team at Purolator. As a Logistics Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of freight to and from customer locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from warehouse or package depot and/or customer locations.
  • Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch.
  • Pick up, deliver, and load/unload freight at customer locations.
  • Scan freight upon pickup and delivery.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer – 15-minute pre-trip per trailer).
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Class 1.
  • Clean Driving Abstract.
  • Must successfully pass written & road test(s).
  • Must successfully pass Defensive Driving course.
  • Must successfully pass Courier Methods training course.
  • Ability to read maps; Good sense of geographical direction.
  • Must be able to handle LTL freight and skids.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify.
  • Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required.
Preferred Qualifications

Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record. 3 years of Class 1 driving experience (mandatory).
