Purpose
The Senior Manager, PMO and Strategic Initiatives plays a crucial role in driving the success of Global Transaction Banking's strategy by identifying and developing transformational opportunities while ensuring compliance with all governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a customer-centric culture to strengthen client relationships and leverage broader Bank connections, systems, and expertise.
- Oversee and support transformational initiatives, providing executive reporting to facilitate informed decision-making at the executive level.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan, define, document, and manage implementation activities and timelines.
- Develop business cases and track/report project and financial status for SIP, Delivery Office, and Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, working closely with stakeholders and finance partners.
- Manage integrated project plans, status reporting, meetings, and issue/risk management for integrated projects, ensuring effective communication with leadership within the established governance and reporting structures.
- Establish tracking and monitoring systems/tools to measure progress and key metrics, ensuring ongoing compliance with the operational model.
- Understand the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decision-making.
- Create an environment that promotes effective and efficient operations while ensuring adherence to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk obligations.
- Build a high-performance culture and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates team members by fostering an inclusive work environment.
- Champion a high-performance culture and contribute to an inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business or project management within the financial services sector.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Strong understanding of Project Management principles and agile methodologies.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of adapting to new processes.
- Excellent organizational, relationship management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented with demonstrated ability in strategic influencing, stakeholder facilitation, and collaboration in cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working in high-pressure environments with rapidly changing deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Exhibits superior conflict management skills and the ability to negotiate effectively.
