About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at A & W. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Estimate and Manage Inventory

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.

Ensure Quality and Service Standards

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Prepare and Submit Reports

Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators, to help inform business decisions and drive growth.

Supervise and Check Assembly of Trays

Supervise and check the assembly of trays to ensure that they are prepared to a high standard and meet customer expectations.

Establish Work Schedules

Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that we have the right people in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor who has a proven track record of success in a similar role. You will have excellent leadership and communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Work Setting

Restaurant or similar food service environment.

Tasks

Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, address customer complaints or concerns, prepare and submit reports, supervise and check assembly of trays, establish work schedules.
