The Group Leader will play a pivotal role in managing the before and after school activities at South Woodside Elementary. This position entails a commitment to morning and afternoon shifts throughout the week, summing up to approximately 26.4 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Develop and implement recreational activities that promote learning and fun.
- Foster effective communication with children, parents, and staff.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance program quality.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in childcare or a related field.
- Understanding of recreational programming principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- High School Completion Certificate or equivalent is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
The compensation for this role is set at $18.28 per hour, in addition to vacation pay. Children of employees at South Woodside Elementary are eligible to participate in the program at no charge. Furthermore, there are numerous opportunities for paid training aimed at professional development.
Dedicated individuals may also have the chance to take on additional hours.
