Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Himawari Sushi Restaurant. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
- Prepare food order summaries for the chef
- Supervise and check assembly of trays
- Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
- Establish work schedules
Requirements
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service environment
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Work Environment
Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be required to work in a standing position for extended periods and be able to lift up to 25 pounds. You will also be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
