Electrical Estimator Job Description

Energy Network Services (ENS) is a leading provider of innovative and cost-effective lighting and lighting controls services for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of specifications and drawings to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Develop material take-offs and coordinate with suppliers to obtain pricing.
  • Participate in the development of project schedules and execution plans.
  • Review estimates with Project Managers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Attend site visits to review and analyze tender documents.
  • Prepare proposals by organizing all material, equipment, labor, and subcontract costs.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and other departments to assist with building quotes.
  • Track all bids and proposals, and communicate regularly with Project Managers and colleagues.
  • May assist with business development or new customer generation.
Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Certified Engineering Technologist, 309A Electrical License or Electrical Certificate of Qualifications preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in Electrical Installations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc).
  • Ability to estimate all types of projects and to coordinate and supervise group work effort.
  • Ability to work on the road and in office.
  • Powerline electrical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Industrial and institutional electrical projects is required.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management and coordination skills.
  • Ability to follow health and safety protocol and assess potential safety issues at site.
