Chef Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at J Peeterman Enterprises. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
  • Reliability and dependability
