Licensed Practical Nurse, Full Scope Professional

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse, Full Scope to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. This is a Relief Part-Time opportunity that requires a high level of expertise and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' needs, identifying strengths and limitations, and developing individualized plans of care.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families to provide comprehensive care and promote patient involvement in decision-making.
- Care Implementation and Evaluation: Provide nursing care according to established policies and procedures, evaluating outcomes and making adjustments as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, reporting concerns and changes to designated staff.
- Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers: Ensure smooth transitions for patients, adhering to agency operating policies and procedures.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Safely operate and maintain equipment related to patient care, ensuring effective functioning and patient safety.
- Environmental Safety and Maintenance: Contribute to a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Staff Support and Orientation: Assist in the orientation of new staff, students, and other healthcare team members.
- Quality Improvement and Education: Participate in continuous quality improvement activities, education sessions, and team conferences.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A graduate degree in a recognized practical nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Knowledge of and ability to work at the full scope of practice, including medication administration.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
