About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist to join our team at BC Cancer, Abbotsford Centre. As a Medical Oncologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality cancer care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive cancer care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in medical oncology and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
  • Completion of a fellowship program in medical oncology or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
