We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Development Analyst to join our team at Caldic North America. As a key member of our Commercial Operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic support to assigned Principal Managers to prioritize value-added activities aligned with business objectives.
- Project management lead for New Business Development initiatives, owning the process but not the strategy.
- Set up of New Products and New Vendors assigned as needed, including complete documentation.
- Interact and coordinate with Principals and PMs to ensure fast turnaround times to internal client requests.
- Coordinate samples, concept tasting, documentation, product codes as it relates to Product/Principal training sessions.
- Responsible for day-to-day interactions with assigned suppliers and Principals, maintaining and building good working relationships to facilitate, fast-track, and streamline processes.
- Identify activities that need to be simplified to reduce transactional costs.
- Manage the Sourcing Support ticket system and respond to tickets related to the assigned portfolio.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Trade Agreements for the assigned portfolio.
- Maintain up-to-date marketing material, organize, and upload relevant information into the Sales/Marketing Platform (as approved by Marketing and PDM).
- Provide assistance to Marketing with social media support and coordinating Principal Trade Show collaboration.
- Coordinate with the PDMs and Principals on the rationalization of product offerings.
- Support the Change Control Process and Cleansing and execute as needed.
- Participate in joint customer calls with Sales and Product Management as needed.
- Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration or a related field.
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar role or supporting a Business Area.
- Commercial mindset, willingness to learn, and hands-on/customer-centric attitude.
- Knowledge of Marketing, Procurement, or Supply Chain is an asset.
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Commercial Reporting Tools, CRM, and ERP tools).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organization skills.
