Position Overview:
As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the health and wellness of our community. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive their medications accurately and promptly, while also providing essential counseling and support.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications to patients in a timely manner.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter products to meet patient needs.
- Engage with patients to provide guidance on new and existing medications, fostering a positive and proactive environment.
- Promote health awareness through community engagement initiatives, such as public health days and clinics.
- Address patient inquiries and resolve issues related to prescriptions and doctor requests efficiently.
- Monitor and manage costs within the pharmacy to ensure operational efficiency.
- Mentor and train new and existing pharmacy staff, including technicians and interns.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a valid Class A Pharmacist license are required.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a strong professional demeanor.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience in performance management.
- Ability to develop business strategies through community-focused marketing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient problem-solving skills with a track record of implementing effective action plans.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems such as Healthwatch and/or KROLL is an asset.
