We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at T.E.O. Korean Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes are properly stored and that food is prepared and served to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Handling
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
- Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
- Kitchen Maintenance
- Ensure that the kitchen is clean and organized at all times, including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen is free from clutter and mess.
- Stock Management
- Assist in the stocking of refrigerators and salad bars, ensuring that all food and supplies are properly stored and labeled.
- Teamwork and Communication
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to ensure that all needs are met and that the kitchen is running smoothly.
- Education
- No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience
- Experience is an asset, but not required.
- Language
- English is the primary language spoken in the kitchen, and proficiency in English is required.
- Work Hours
- 30 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.
