Work Schedule: Standard 8-hour shifts, managing an average of 14–18 inpatients per rotation.
On-Call Duties: Participation in after-hours call responsibilities is a required component of this role.
Eligible candidates include US-trained physicians with ABMS certification in internal medicine, who may qualify for practice under the USA certified class.

- Active College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License
- Provisional License
- Eligible for Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP)
- Mandatory Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership
- Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) is preferred

Compensation and BenefitsCompensation Structure: Alternative Payment Arrangement
Estimated Annual Income: For a full-time hospitalist, anticipate an annual salary of $314,795, plus MOCAP level 2.
Additional Benefits- Vacation Leave: Flexible scheduling allows for ample time to relax and recharge.
- Retention Premium: 14.00%
- Retention Flat Fee: $21,696
- Relocation Assistance: $9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada, and $15,000 for relocations from outside Canada.
- Recruitment Incentive: $20,000, prorated for part-time physicians.
- Other Benefits: Eligible for RCME funding, including $1,320 for up to 2 years in Cranbrook, $3,520 during years 3 and 4, and $5,720 after 4 years, in addition to Doctors of BC CME funds. Rural incentives are subject to change and confirmed at the time of offer.
