About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Shyam Investments Inc. as a Bookkeeper. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and performing various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Tasks: Perform various accounting tasks, including reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Assist with payroll processing, including preparing paycheques and benefits statements.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations, and identify and mitigate potential risks.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and QuickBooks.
  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent communication skills.
