Glocomms is collaborating with a prominent high-frequency trading organization that prioritizes security in the search for a Cybersecurity Analyst. This role is essential in a highly skilled team of Security Engineers and Analysts, dedicated to thwarting cyber threats and breaches through automation while enhancing the current security framework.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), networks, and systems to detect potential security threats, incidents, and information requests.
2. Identify security vulnerabilities by developing and implementing automated solutions.
3. Enhance capabilities, optimize efficiency, and surpass client expectations by engineering and managing Security Infrastructure.
4. Provide expert guidance on security vulnerabilities, including exploitation and remediation strategies.
5. Evaluate the effectiveness of the organization’s cyber defense mechanisms and response times.
6. Engage in practical Attack Simulations and threat emulation exercises regularly.
7. Actively participate in threat management, vulnerability management, and Incident Response activities.
Work collaboratively as a senior team member, delivering hands-on support to clients, maintaining effective communication, and keeping senior management informed of progress.
Ensure adherence to appropriate standards, best practices, workplace policies, and procedures.
Experience Required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber/Information Security, IT, or a related discipline.
2. Proven experience in analyzing detected security events and managing incidents.
3. Hands-on experience with SIEM, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), firewalls, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).
4. Strong understanding of threat actor/group tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), network scanning, code activity, and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
5. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation purposes.
