Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Manager to join our team at Ontario Halal Meat Farms Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of inventory levels, and implementing efficient logistics solutions to meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement effective inventory management systems to track and report inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and shipping of products.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient receipt and delivery of goods.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management, analyzing trends and making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and train a team of 5-10 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Computer and Technology: Utilize MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word to manage inventory, track shipments, and prepare reports.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to security and safety, including background checks and credit checks.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and proactive behavior.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in inventory management or logistics
  • MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to supervise and train a team
