Position Overview
The Transportation Planning Co-op will collaborate with a vibrant team of transportation planning and engineering experts on various projects, including transit planning initiatives, comprehensive transportation strategies, municipal environmental evaluations, and travel demand forecasting studies.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may vary based on the candidate's strengths and available opportunities, but typically include:

  • Conducting data analysis
  • Forecasting travel demand
  • Creating GIS maps
  • Researching transportation policies
  • Analyzing intersection capacity
  • Planning and designing transit systems
  • Assessing active transportation options
  • Writing reports
  • Collecting data and conducting site visits

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
