About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at 0796976 B.C. Ltd. as a Formwork Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formwork and Concrete Preparation
    • Inspect and check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet our quality standards.
    • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Surface Finishing and Repair
    • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and level the top surface according to grade and depth specifications.
    • Impart the desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
    • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and ensure they meet our quality standards.
    • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces to prevent damage and ensure longevity.
  • Team Collaboration and Safety
    • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standard.
    • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to our safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Physically demanding work environment.
    • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
