Job Title: Restaurant Assistant Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at A&W Restaurants Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high-quality service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise restaurant staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with A&W standards, Provincial WCB regulations, and Employment and Health regulations
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including inventory control, cash handling, and customer feedback
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, sales, and profitability
  • Collaborate with the Manager to achieve business objectives and goals

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in a restaurant supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Knowledge of restaurant operating systems and standards

Preferred Skills:

  • Acceptable oral and written English communication skills
  • Acceptable mathematical skills
  • Ability to train and coach others in a 'hands-on' approach
  • Competent in Microsoft 365 Business applications

Physical Demands:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Some heavy lifting
