Strategic Initiatives Vice President

Thorek/Scott and Partners is seeking a seasoned professional to join their Investor Relations and Co-Investments team as a Strategic Initiatives Vice President. This dynamic role will involve heavy interaction with global institutional investors, internal senior executives, investment professionals, and portfolio managers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively manage investor relationships for private funds, executing strategies to raise investor awareness and understanding of the business.
  • Work with senior management to coordinate strategic initiatives with key investors.
  • Be a subject matter expert on the firm's activities by participating in internal investment and asset management meetings to effectively communicate those activities to investors and the market.
  • Participate in prospective investor outreach, educating investors on the merits of investing in alternative investments.
  • Manage inquiries from existing and prospective private fund investors, utilizing internal and external resources to provide responses to routine and non-routine questions.
  • Liaise with Client Relationship Managers globally to maintain existing private fund investors, including presenting to investment committees and boards as required.
  • Support the build-out and ongoing maintenance of the firm's investor base with private banks, family offices, and RIA.
Requirements:
  • Ten+ years of experience in investing/asset management, investment banking, corporate development, or investor relations.
  • Strong transactional experience in private markets and investments, including direct and co-investments.
  • Undergraduate degree in business or finance.
  • MBA and/or CFA designation preferred.
  • Clear history of working with private fund investors.
  • Experience with renewables, power, energy, or infrastructure an asset.
  • Able to manage a team of individuals and demonstrates a commitment to shared success above personal accomplishment or recognition.
  • Proactive self-starter who can handle pressure effectively and has experience working with senior management teams.

Please note that at present, legal eligibility to work in Canada is a prerequisite for this role.
