Job Description

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Life Cycle Material Management Specialist to support our satellite communication project.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working in a Life Cycle Material Management environment or related experience. They will be responsible for developing and implementing Electronic Equipment Maintenance Team support strategies for operations, exercises, training, and maintenance of various equipment.

The candidate will advise the client on problem reports, unsatisfactory conditions, lack of material inventory, and derelict equipment. They will work with others to learn on-the-job and support transfer-in equipment and technical data packages to Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) distribution accounts.

The successful candidate will sustain present electronic equipment throughout its life cycle, prepare Bills of Material, and administer software licenses. They will also assist end users requesting information on equipment specs and provide product support for centrally managed items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Electronic Equipment Maintenance Team support strategies
  • Advise the client on problem reports, unsatisfactory conditions, and lack of material inventory
  • Work with others to learn on-the-job and support transfer-in equipment and technical data packages
  • Sustain present electronic equipment throughout its life cycle
  • Prepare Bills of Material and administer software licenses
  • Assist end users requesting information on equipment specs and provide product support

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a Life Cycle Material Management environment or related experience
  • Experience in preparation of technical documents, specification, checklists, bulletins, and equipment disposal plans
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Federal Government Secret (Level II) clearance, VCR, and controlled goods certificate
  • Experience liaising with stakeholders to support the life cycle management of equipment
  • Experience developing briefing notes and presentations to address technical and logistical issues pertaining to equipment
  • Experience providing advice, guidance, and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision making of senior management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience performing some/all of the following tasks:
    • Using a recognized process framework or using an LCMM Handbook
    • Working on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (such as SAP) for equipment cataloguing
    • Working on ERP for maintaining and developing checklists and coordinating equipment distribution
    • Evaluating and providing solutions to deficiencies in Technical Failure Reports and Unsatisfactory Condition Reports
    • Analyzing Statements of Operational Requirements (SOR)
    • Reviewing Technical Data Packages (TDP)
    • Planning and executing equipment demilitarization and disposal
