We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Services Aide to join our team at Sardion Care Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with Patient Care
- Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities to promote physical and mental well-being.
- Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling medical equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform other duties related to personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming patients.
- Supply and empty bed pans to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
- Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse to monitor their health and well-being.
- Serve meal trays and feed patients to ensure they receive adequate nutrition.
- Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients to prevent injury and promote comfort.
- Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments to facilitate communication and coordination.
- Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.
- Supervise patients' exercise routines to promote physical activity and well-being.
- Support Administrative Tasks
- Basic security clearance to ensure confidentiality and security of patient information.
- Fast-paced environment to adapt to changing patient needs and priorities.
- Repetitive tasks to maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of patient care.
- Support for Diverse Populations
- Provides physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators, to ensure equal access to healthcare services.
- Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition to facilitate their integration into the healthcare team.
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and mature workers.
- Work Environment
- Permanent work term to provide stability and security.
- Work language: English to ensure effective communication with patients and colleagues.
- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
