Job Title: Nanny

We are seeking a reliable and experienced nanny to join our team at Shoshana Friedman. As a nanny, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and supervision to our children in a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assume full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
  • Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children
  • Cook
Requirements:
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Child Abuse Registry check
  • Child welfare check
  • Criminal record check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test
  • Basic security clearance
Work Environment:

The work environment is non-smoking and scent-free. The work setting is in the employer's home, with optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.

Language:

The primary language spoken in the home is English or French.

Work Conditions:

The work is physically demanding and requires handling heavy loads. Overtime may be required.
