Job Summary

We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced Senior Placement Broker to work in our Commercial Lines department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new business and retain existing clients. They will work closely with our production team to identify opportunities and negotiate terms with insurance carriers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new business and retain existing clients
  • Work closely with the production team to identify opportunities and negotiate terms with insurance carriers
  • Coordinate and plan marketing initiatives for clients
  • Negotiate terms for new business, renewals, and mid-term changes with insurance carriers
  • Review and analyze policy wordings to ensure proper coverages are in place
  • Monitor the insurance marketplace and maintain a current database of changing company appetites
  • Act as the senior client contact when the producer is unavailable
  • Provide alternate carrier options as needed
  • Ensure there are no gaps in coverage for clients
Requirements
  • Level 2 General Insurance License
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of Commercial Lines insurance experience
  • Minimum 5 years of Commercial Placement Broking/Marketing experience
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience working with and interpreting insurance policies
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Working knowledge of EPIC and PolicyWorks
  • Preferred: CAIB, CIP, FCIP, or CRM designations
