Position Overview:

In the capacity of a Sanitation Technician, you will be integral to maintaining the hygiene and safety standards of our manufacturing environment. Your primary responsibilities will include executing cleaning and sanitation tasks on production machinery and facility spaces.

Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Compensation: $24.50 per hour

Shift Availability:

  • Evening shifts starting at 5:00 PM, 5:30 PM, and 7:00 PM

As a Sanitation Technician, you will be expected to remain on-site until the completion of sanitation activities, with each shift lasting approximately 10-11 hours.

Key Duties:

  • Conducting thorough cleaning and sanitation of production equipment and facility areas, utilizing high-pressure hoses to eliminate waste materials effectively.
  • Comfortably working at heights of up to 12 feet while managing cleaning equipment.
  • Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols during all cleaning operations.
  • Appropriately using cleaning agents and equipment to ensure a safe and effective cleaning process.
  • Keeping accurate cleaning logs and promptly reporting any issues to the supervising staff.
  • Executing tasks assigned by Sanitation Supervisors and Pre-op Inspectors.
  • Performing varied job responsibilities across multiple locations within the facility, with potential for special assignments as needed.
  • Completing daily assignments as directed by supervision and assisting in the training of fellow team members as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal communication skills and comprehension of written instructions, including SOPs and training materials.
  • Prior experience in a sanitation or cleaning role within a food production environment is essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and meet strict deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift weights up to 50 lbs, along with comfort in frequently bending or stooping throughout the shift.
  • Experience working with strong cleaning chemicals.
  • Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to operate in proximity to machinery and tolerate exposure to various materials.
