Job Title: Welder Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our team at Lex Metal Fabricators Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal parts and products to meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes to ensure accurate and efficient fabrication.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, maintaining a high level of quality control.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines to prepare metal for welding.
  • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal to ensure precise and accurate fabrication.
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC) and determine weldability of materials to ensure safe and efficient fabrication.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal parts and products.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding role. The candidate must be able to stand for extended periods, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, team player, initiative, accurate and judgement.
