About the Role

FIL-CANADIAN HOME HEALTHCARE SERVICES INC. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Assist with medication administration, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance, helping clients to cope with challenging situations.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificates.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
