Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a NORM Labourer. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) waste.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the decontamination and disposal of NORM waste, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Operate high-pressure water blast equipment to clean oilfield equipment and waste.
  • Conduct surveys and sampling of NORM waste, documenting and storing results for further analysis.
  • Maintain the decontamination equipment and facility, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Prepare detailed reports of daily operations and inspections, meeting client and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Preference given to candidates with post-secondary education or oil field experience and relevant certifications (WHMIS, TDG Clear Language, Standard First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, Confined Space Entry, and NORM Safety Training).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Self-confidence and interpersonal flexibility.
  • Ability to prioritize work and adhere to safety and safe work practices.
