We are currently seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Technician (Foreman) to join our team at our Calgary facility. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Mechanical and Maintenance Duties

  • Conduct inspections of operational motors, perform road tests, and utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.
  • Diagnose and address faults during preventative maintenance services.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace components of commercial transport truck systems, including chassis, engines, and electronic systems.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to review work orders and confirm repairs.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tune-ups.
  • Work with various engine types and equipment.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Mentor and supervise team members to enhance work quality and overall competency.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating maintenance activities with fleet management.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings to promote communication and safety awareness.
  • Engage in recruitment and performance management processes.
  • Foster a respectful and positive workplace culture aligned with company values.
  • Adhere to company policies and the established Code of Conduct.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid certification as an Alberta Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician, or Interprovincial Heavy Duty Mechanic Red Seal.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in commercial transport truck repair or a similar field.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role is advantageous.
  • Proficient in diagnosing issues using manufacturer-specific software.
  • Ability to interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
  • A valid Class 3 Driver's License and Alberta Commercial Vehicle Safety Inspection License are beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Capable of lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, with the ability to handle heavier loads with assistance.
  • Willingness to perform physical tasks in various conditions.
