About the Role

Sunrise Freight Systems Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mechanic Helper to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tool Management: Safely move and store tools, equipment, and other materials to prevent damage and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Site Safety: Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Support Services: Assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Cleanliness: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Work Environment

As a Mechanic Helper, you will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a focus on heavy equipment maintenance and repair. You will be exposed to a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and physical activity, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Workload: Manage a large workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrate dependability, flexibility, initiative, organization, reliability, and teamwork skills to support the success of our operations team.
