Role Overview:
Reporting to the Manager of Services and Supports, the Coordinator is responsible for leadership, resource management, and ensuring quality outcomes for individuals receiving support. This role involves implementing quality assurance measures to provide effective services for individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategic Plan of Kerry's Place.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations as outlined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Collaborate with Management and Human Resources to recruit and orient staff effectively.
- Schedule employee hours in accordance with employment contracts and relevant legislation.
- Assist in training and development initiatives for staff, including coordinating necessary training programs.
- Facilitate meetings and ensure proper documentation and communication with staff.
- Oversee facility maintenance and service contracts for community sites.
- Manage operations within budgetary constraints as directed by Management.
- Support payroll functions and service agreements.
- Maintain efficient operation and upkeep of residential and community sites.
- Foster positive relationships with families, partner agencies, and the community.
- Implement evidence-based treatment models for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Participate in community planning and external committees.
- Ensure health and safety compliance for supported individuals.
- Maintain thorough and professional records for all individuals served.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- University degree or college diploma in a relevant field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in human services.
- Strong understanding of the Developmental Services sector.
- Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder and treatment models.
- Proficient in database management and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Experience in employee scheduling is advantageous.
- Proficiency in French is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to complete Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification.
- Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- On-call coverage may be required.
- A personal vehicle and valid driver’s license are necessary for travel.
