Position Summary:
As a Knowledge Management Specialist, you will work closely with the Knowledge and Localization Team to deliver multilingual content for our clientele. Your primary responsibilities will encompass the creation of instructional video tutorials in various languages, performing quality assurance checks on product translations, and obtaining multilingual product visuals for our support documentation and release updates. Additionally, you will collaborate with the team to fulfill client requests for multilingual content. A successful Knowledge Management Specialist will demonstrate the ability to swiftly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Knowledge Team to produce instructional video tutorials.
- Work alongside the Localization Team to ensure the accuracy of product translations.
- Partner with the Knowledge and Localization Team to create and disseminate multilingual content.
- Manage and oversee publishing workflows to review and release content generated by D2L colleagues.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in at least one language besides English (preferably Canadian French, Mexican Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, or Arabic).
- Able to independently complete all tasks related to customer and D2L requirements in a timely and organized manner.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with GitHub as a version control platform.
- Experience with MadCap Flare as a content management system.
- Background in technical writing, especially for software and process documentation.
- Experience with Canvas for creating instructional video tutorials.
Educational Background:
- Currently enrolled in a university or college program that includes a co-op component.
- Completion of coursework in communication, technical writing, rhetoric, or courses emphasizing persuasive writing is considered advantageous.
The anticipated weekly salary range for this student position is outlined below. The base salary offered is determined by each candidate's relevant knowledge, skills, education, training, and experience, ensuring alignment with both internal and external competitiveness based on market data.
Weekly Salary Range: $725—$996 USD
