About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Smart Whale Enterprises Ltd. as a key member of our finance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as maintain accurate records of employee benefits.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, dependable, efficient, and excellent interpersonal skills.
